How to transfer a domain from Internet.bs

When a domain is transferred the name servers associated with the domain will stay the same (e.g., ns1.OldRegistrar.com and ns2.OldRegistrar.com). However, as the domain is no longer with the Old Registrar, the Old Registrar’s name servers will stop responding to any queries for your domain. This causes downtime until you switch your domain to our DNS. Check out how to reduce downtime in this case in this Knowledgebase article.

NOTE: If you are using a third party DNS like your hosting company, the domain transfer will not cause any downtime issues (as the DNS server settings will not change during the transfer).

Before submitting a transfer request with us please obtain Auth/EPP code (if applicable) from Internet.bs, make sure that the domain is unlocked and contact information associated with the domain is valid and up-to-date.

1. How to unlock your domain with Internet.bs

Please login into your account and then click on the domain name you want to lock or unlock. Click on the Expert tab and then select “Locking/Unlocking”.

2. How to obtain Auth/EPP code from Internet.bs

To transfer a .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .us, .cc, or .in domain name, obtain the authorization code from Internet.bs.

After clicking on the Expert tab select EPP auth info option. There you will find the Auth/EPP code for your domain, please copy it – you will need to enter it in your NityGity account.

To transfer a .UK domain name, please contact Internet.bs at http://www.internetbs.net/en/domain-name-registrations/contact.html choosing the most suitable for you way of communication, and ask them to change the domain’s IPS tag to ENOM.

3. Contact information check

Before starting transferring your domain name, please verify that the Administrative contact information (especially the email address) is up-to-date at Internet.bs – you will need to approve verification email that is sent to that address.

If you have privacy protection enabled, please disable it before submitting the transfer in order to be able to receive transfer verification email.

Please login to your Internet.bs account, click on the domain name you wish to update. Under the Standard tab click on Update contact (WHOIS). There you will find the options at the end of the page for partial, full and no protection. Full protection will hide all your personal data in Whois. Partial will display administrative and other contact emails only. If you would like to have your domain partially secured during the transfer, it would be ok, since verification email will be sent to the Administrative email, associated with the domain.
When all these steps are completed, you can the transfer to NityGity at http://www.nitygity.com/domains/transfer-a-domain.aspx
